Toen de familie Blick aan 20 weken zwangerschap te horen kreeg dat hun zoontje lijdt aan de chromosomale aandoening Trisomie 18, beslisten ze om toch door te gaan met de zwangerschap, ongeacht hoeveel tijd ze met hun zoontje zouden kunnen doorbrengen.

"Every life, now matter how small, is important and has a purpose. Knowing this truth and the diagnosis of our son, we chose to celebrate his life,  no matter how the odds are stacked against him.
We prayed from the beginning of this journey, that whatever the Lord chose to do with the little life, our precious son, that God would be glorified."

Zion is geboren op 11 januari, en stierf 10 dagen later. Maar in die korte tijd heeft zijn kostbare leven zoveel indruk en Hoop nagelaten.
